Simon Baker is Managing Director for the private client division of First Names Group in Luxembourg.

Starting his career in accounting in 1975, Simon earned a distinction for a Higher National Diploma at the Institute of Business Studies in the United Kingdom before heading south. In Harare, Zimbabwe he joined a Big Four accounting firm as an audit manager securing invaluable administrative knowledge, analytical techniques and a strong foundation from which to assess a true and fair financial view. A fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Simon is also authorised by the Luxembourg Financial Services Authority as a professional of the financial services sector. He speaks English and French fluently and can communicate in Portuguese and German too.

The tiger fish that he caught on Lake Kariba now adorns a wall in his home in Luxembourg. A keen fisherman, golfer and sailor, Simon packs a lot into life. Always happy to travel, he visits his son and daughter who are both studying languages at different universities in the UK or given half a chance, holidays with them on a yacht in the Mediterranean.
